Six of the GENIUS Doctoral Network beneficiaries are among the founders of the new International Society for Energy Geostructures (ISEG), contributing to the growing knowledge base on energy geostructures.

ISEG’s mission is to promote research, knowledge exchange, and best practices in the design, monitoring, and implementation of energy geostructures worldwide. Professor Marco Barla, who is the Chair of Research Coordination Committee for the GENIUS Doctoral Network, is the president of ISEG. Dr Alessandra Insana who is the Chair of Public Engagement Committee for the GENIUS Doctoral Network, is the general secretary of ISEG. In addition, Dr Melis Sutman, Professor Hussein Mroueh, Professor Diana Salciarini and Professor Rao Martand Singh are founding members.

Through these initiatives, the GENIUS Doctoral Network strengthens the bridge between doctoral research and practical applications, advancing the development of energy geostructures technologies in line with ISEG’s mission of fostering innovation, sustainability, and knowledge sharing in the field.
